We are often asked to clean self-cleaning (pyrolytic) ovens. Some home owners do not know that their oven is self-cleaning or do not have the instruction manual. These ovens still require cleaning as the self-cleaning function only applies to the self-cleaning panels inside the oven, and then only if the self-cleaning cycle is activated. In our experience the areas not covered by the self-cleaning panels, typically the roof, door and floor of the oven as well as the surfaces behind the self-cleaning panels still require cleaning.
Standard domestic ovens are 60cm wide, however there are numerous ovens on the market that are 90cm wide or have multiple chambers. We have custom-built equipment to accommodate the cleaning of these types of ovens.
Many of our domestic customers return year after year and often recommend us to other people. We have a referral reward system as a small way of saying thank you to the person who referred us.
Windows and Gutters
Our technicians have specialist training and equipment to clean your windows inside and out as required. We use high quality professional grade equipment and have a range of ladders to suit the job.
We also clean gutters on residential and commercial buildings of all shapes and sizes.
Bear in mind that with high gutters we may have to make special arrangements for height safety. We have technicians who are height safety trained for this type of work.
Types of Oven Clean
This is the most common service requested by our customers. This means cleaning the oven from top to bottom, this includes the stove top control panel, stove top, baking chamber, inside and outside of the door and warming drawer. If requested we will also split the oven door to clean between the glass.
Baking Chamber Only
This is another frequently requested service. It includes the inside of the chamber, oven racks and rails and inside and outside of the door. We don't split the door to clean between the glass unless specifically requested.
Range Hoods and Filters
We can provide you with a quick or detailed clean of a range hood and/or filters. Cleaning a range hood usually takes 15-20 minutes. Occasionally cleaning takes longer. This can be the case with older style range hoods.
Splitting the oven door
Splitting the oven door to clean between the glass is not included in a standard oven clean. However we are more than happy to do this if requested.
This includes the sides of the oven and behind and under it. Please ask if you would like us to do this for you. Cleaning the surrounds usually takes around 15 minutes.
As a rule we do not clean these unless they are integral to the oven.
After an oven is cleaned it is rinsed out with fresh hot water. This means that the oven will be safe to use immediately after our technician has finished, although we do recommend you give the oven some drying out time.
Our technicians carry a wide range of bulbs should they need replacing.
Standards of Cleaning
This standard is most frequently asked for by home owners and landlords with high-end accommodation. It is a very detailed ‘valet clean’ of the oven. When finished the oven will be as clean as the age and condition of the oven will allow. An immaculate clean usually takes 2.5 – 3 hours to complete. We have a 2 hour minimum for any booking.
Clean And Presentable
This is a mid-range clean we developed for landlords who asked us to clean the ovens in their rental properties. They wanted an oven that was ‘clean and presentable’ for their tenants to use. People selling their homes often use this standard too. A Clean and Presentable clean will usually take 2 – 2.5 hrs to complete.
We recognise some people are budget conscious and this is an option designed with these customers in mind. In this type of clean we do not apply a standard (clean and presentable or immaculate). Instead the technician does as much as they can, as well as they can, within the budget set. Our minimum fixed budget option is 2 hours. You are always welcome to request a longer time frame.
We consider any oven that takes more than 3 hours to clean to be a rescue clean. With a rescue clean the technician will keep working until the desired standard is achieved. Price will reflect this. Provided that the oven has no underlying problems a rescue clean is still far more economical than paying for a new oven.
